I just thought of something that might be useful to a mime. You can git yerself some matchin juggling balls for next to nothing and look more professional. If you have a costume, you might use the leftover scraps from your costume or just choose matching fabric from anywhere. I recommend thick fabric that does not stretch. And make your pattern from paper and then use junk fabric until you get the size, shape and weight right.
First, draw a shape like a lemon or a wide opened eye. It should be about four inches long by two and a half inches wide. When you have a good looking one, cut it out and fold a piece of paper in half and trace half and cut it out so both sides match. Like how you used to cut out perfectly balanced hearts in grade school. Cut out four in your practice fabric. sew together two pieces close to the edge on one side only. What you have should look like half of a ball. If it doesn't. redo your lemon shape until it does come out to be half a ball. When it looks good make two ball halves. No giggling please! You want to double stitch them. Put the two halves together and pin them so that they look like a globe with the raw edges on the outside. Sew around the globe twice leaving a one and a half inch opening. Turn inside out and fill with little dried green peas from Jewel. Then hand sew shut. My favorite combination of colors is two black and two bright colors, but you can do any color you want. It's your mime time. You can also buy plastic pellets if you plan on getting these wet. I had some in a damp basement for a decade and they're still fine, but no puddles, please or you will have a cloth sack full of pea soup. Manischewitz matzos anyone? tee hee.
They are just the right size and weight and seem to give your hands a massage when you are juggling as opposed to hurting like cheap rubber balls from the store, and they make you look more professional. I recommend a book called Juggling For The Complete Klutz to anyone interested in trying it. Just remember, the higher you throw the balls, the more time you have to catch them. Make a lot of matching juggling balls that go with your costume and you're set for life. Hint: you don't have to stuff them until you want to use them. Fray Check is a product you can gently use on the inside seams to prevent fraying. There are chemical sprays to water proof things too. Test these chemicals on scraps and let dry to see what they do before putting them on your juggling balls. Impress your friends and neighbors with your juggling skills.

`Ok, I wrote this three years ago. Now I am looking and this has 995 views on Feb 2011. Who viewed this? And where are all the mimes? Haha. I met one mime here. Then, I talked to him on another site and he didn't remember emailing me here. I'm thinking of switching to clowns. So, nyah.

`Now it's 2015 and the mime I talked to here disappeared along with his posts. So did the view counter. :(
